# Delete CDP Session

> Immediately terminate a CDP session and release its capacity so it no longer counts against your concurrency limit.

Immediately terminate a CDP session and release its capacity.

## Response

  Whether the deletion succeeded.

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `200` | Session deleted successfully. |
| `401` | Missing or invalid `x-api-key`. |
| `403` | The session does not belong to the current API key. |
| `404` | Session ID not found. |
| `409` | The session is already in the process of stopping. |
| `410` | The session has already expired. |
| `503` | The assigned browser backend is unavailable. |

<Tip>
  Always delete sessions when your automation is complete. Unused sessions count against your concurrency limit until they expire or are explicitly deleted.
